Building a Single Platform Approach
In this project, my primary objective was to enhance the functionalities of the original Enertiv software. With a specific focus on this application, my goal was to offer asset teams unparalleled transparency into every facet of the property, establishing a centralized repository for critical documents.
My vision was to create a robust platform that empowers users, facilitating tasks ranging from setting capital planning goals to the meticulous maintenance and repair of equipment, all within a centralized and user-friendly environment.
Competitive Analysis
I conducted extensive competitive research by analyzing other services such as UpKeep, Genea, LogCheck, and Angus Anywhere. This involved meticulous note-taking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each platform. I focused on recognizing areas where our competitors excelled, pinpointing opportunities for enhancing the user experience, and formulating strategies to reinforce our commitment to a unified platform concept.
Consistency
Building upon the established brand guidelines, I crafted a comprehensive style guide that serves as a cohesive visual framework for the entire platform, seamlessly extending across both web and mobile applications.
To solidify the brand identity further, I created a functional icon font tailored specifically for use in our mobile and web applications. This custom icon font not only enhanced visual consistency but also reinforces the brand's unique visual language, contributing to a unified and recognizable user experience across different platforms.
Wireframes
Wireframing plays a crucial role in the early stages of a design project, serving as a foundational step that significantly contributes to the overall success of the final product.
